Very easy recipe, but it will give you a juicy and slightly different salmon. Preferably use salmon filet with skin, it will be easier to handle and the skin fat adds more taste to the dish.
Cut some lines on the salmon filet (all the way down to the skin, but not through the skin). Rub the filet with salt and pepper, also inside the cuts.
Cut a couple of onions into thin onion rings. Put them into a oven form. Then put the salmon filet on top of the onions.
Drizzle 2 table spoons of capers, including the marinade liquid, over the salmon. Slice some ginger and garlics. Stuff the capers, ginger and garlic slices into the cuts. Then let the salmon marinate for around an hour.
While waiting, slice some root vegetables (like carrot, parsnip, celery root) and some leek. In a mixing bowl, toss the vegetables with a couple pinches of salt and pepper, and some olive oil.
Cover the form with aluminum foil, then put it into 205C preheated oven. It takes 20-30min to cook (time needed varies depending on how thick the fish is). Before taking the dish out, check the thickest part of the fish.
